Jarosław Charkiewicz, Poland
Dr of Theology, journalist, editor, writer, translator, photographer. Author of more than 20 books on the Orthodox history, theology, hagiography and iconography. Secretary of the Publishing Department of Polish Orthodox Church. Initiator of series of albums “Colours of Orthodoxy”
Mgr. Lucia Fedorcová, Slovakia
Master of Arts from the Orthodox Theological Faculty in Prešov. Photographer and teacher of Orthodox religion. In her photographic work, she also documents Orthodox churches, shrines and places associated with spiritual heritage. Traveling to Orthodox holy places, she gains knowledge about the history, traditions and cultural wealth of Orthodoxy.
Archdeacon Nicolai Iftimiu, Romania
Archdeacon Nicolae Iftimiu is Director of the Basilica News Agency of the Romanian Patriarchate, where he has coordinated religious photojournalism for over ten years, including the agency’s weekly photo feature “The Week in Pictures,” which showcases the most compelling images from Orthodox Church life around the world. He has curated several photo exhibitions and organized competitions in collaboration with both professional and amateur photographers, bridging documentary rigor with a deep sensitivity to faith and tradition. His work brings a rare, specialized perspective to the jury — one shaped by years of evaluating and presenting ecclesiastical and cultural photography to a wide public audience.
Ludmila Juzová, Czechia
The main icon painter of the Prague Orthodox Eparchy. Graduated in fine arts and design. She has been creating icons for more than 35 years. She studied with prominent icon painters and is the author of complete iconostasis and church wall paintings in several European countries. Her icons are found in various churches on four continents of the world. In her work, she combines experience from the technologies of classical painting and ancient techniques of orthodox iconography, including the application of gold on icons.
Aleksander Wasyluk, Poland
President of the Associations: OrthNet and Osrodek Bialowieza. Εditor and one of the founders of www.orthphoto.net. Founder of a Polish website about and for orthodox believers www.cerkiew.pl. Currently working for a photo educational project: www.szerokikadr.pl for Nikon Poland. Thanks to SYNDESMOS visited and explored many places connected with Orthodox religion.
